The summer following my freshman year of college, a few of my friends (and our parents) took a week-long trip to Italy. We flew into Rome and then took a train down to Venice for a few days. Along with seeing the famed tourist attractions (the Trevi Fountain, the Coliseum, the Vatican), we were also there for the release of the final Harry Potter book, which was huge among some English-speaking tourists in Venice. One of my favorite spots was the Sistine Chapel and I don't think anything can match the tranquility that comes along with walking on the beautiful boardwalks of Venice. Here is just a taste of my trip:
